Hey everyone! This is the Holt Family! You may recognize Keli from the previous post. I photographed her and her family the day after we took her senior pictures! I had so much fun hangin' out we these guys. The beautiful girl, that you may notice was the star of so many of the photos below, is Keli's sister, Kat!!

This is Keli! My very first 2010 senior! We had so much fun, and it was a beautiful evening for pictures. I know this is a huge post, and I started thinking to myself, "Should I really put up this many pictures...hardly anyone else posts this many pictures." Then I decided...I don't care...I want to! John and I went on a quick trip down to South Texas last week! We went to Kingsville, Loyola Beach, Riviera Beach, Falfurrias, Laredo, Eagle Pass and Del Rio. We spent one night at El Tule Ranch in Falfurrias. John is a writer and he was interviewing the ranch manager for a story, and I got to tag along. It's a beautiful ranch and the main house was awesome! It was designed by Lake-Flato Architects, my favorite architecture firm! It was so much fun and these are a few of the images from our trip!

We had a pretty good 4th of July!! It started off in Abernathy at the 4th of July Parade. John rode in the parade with Jenna, our 4 year old niece! She had so much fun and waved to everyone. After the parade we went over to John's parents and played in the water. As you can see, John decided to get on the slip-n-slide in his jeans. That evening we went over to our friends, Zach and Amber's, for a little BBQ and fireworks! The last pic is of all the guys in the pool. John and another friend Lacy decided it would be a good idea to start throwing people in the pool, and that is how it ended...haha!!

I'M BACK! John and I went on a trip down to Falfurrias this past week. We had so much fun, and I got to see a ton of new Texas cities. If I hadn't already told you all, John and I have a goal to visit every place possible in Texas. We love our state and want to explore it all. Since we were so close to the Gulf, we decided to drive on over and put our feet in the water. More pictures to come soon.

I will also be getting orders and invoices out today and tomorrow for everyone that placed orders while I was away!

A couple of weeks ago I went to San Deigo for a photography workshop. It was with the Boudoir Divas, and it was awesome. I learned all about boudoir photography and so much more. I am officially kicking off the boudoir side of my business. I will post the upcoming session dates and times here in just a little bit, so keep coming back. Sunny San Deigo!!

Here are a few images from my recent trip to San Deigo!! I went to San Deigo for a BOUDOIR photography workshop! Yes ladies, I am now shooting boudoir! I am about to post a blog announcing the first Boudoir Session dates and times, so keep a lookout. I stayed with my husband's cousin, Coty! He was an excellent host and showed me the entire city. We went to Coronado Island, home of the Hotel Del. It was beautiful and is said to be haunted...Spooky. We also went downtown to the Gaslamp District, ate dinner on the water, had some very tasty mango margaritas, went to see the seal cove, got in the beach (just my legs, it was freezing!) at La Jolla Shores and late one night went out on the Oceanside Pier. Oh, and of course, tons of boudoir!! The first picture is at La Jolla shores under the pier.

I shot an awesome wedding this past weekend in Albuquerque! Lindsay and Jordan got married at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. It is a beautiful place with tons of great photo spots! Juniper, Sage and Sawyer were such troopers. It was very cold and windy for our session. That is typical Lubbock weather for you, in the 80's one day and a blizzard the next! Little Sawyer was not having a good day either, so we did a lot of bribing with rocks, blankets and stuffed animals. My sister and her boys, Caleb and Colt, came to visit over spring break, and I took nearly 800 pictures of them. Kim wanted some new family pics, and she needed a picture of just her to give her husband. He refuses to get rid of the nine-year-old wedding photo on his desk until he gets a replacement. So, we went out and did a little mini session of her, and it was blownin' pretty hard that day! But, they turned out great.

Well, I have been really lucky to get these beautiful people to photograph. It makes my job extremely easy!! haha!! I think Kolbe is my muse!! Dang...isn't she beautiful!! This is Alexa; she is a senior at New Deal High School. We went out this past week and drove all over town to find some great new spots. That is something I am trying really hard to do, is find all new spots for everyone. She was so awesome and was up for anything. We had to dart back and forth on the road to get the perfect shot between the all the cars coming and going, but it turned out beautifully!! Indian Canyon {Part 2}

Well, I sort of lied about posting these images the next day. =( Sorry guys I have been pretty busy this week, but here they are. I did an extra long post just to make up for it! I had so much fun hanging out with these guys a few weeks ago. These photos will give you a little glimpse into my day at Indian Canyon Ranch. That first photo was taken as soon as I got to the ranch...6:20 a.m.!!! Yuck! So yes, that means I got up around 4:30, because Indian Canyon is just outside of Lamesa! But, it was so worth it. Thanks Wyndel for inviting me to come out and photograph you guys all day! I would love to come back next year because now I am a pro at this branding photography! haha! You also might notice one guy that seems to show up in quite a few pictures. That's P.J. He is one of my husbands best friends so I was a little bias when it came to my photo subjects!! Just check out his muscles...they're pretty hard to miss!!! I want to say hello to Michelle too. This is Amber! Wow....she was an incredible model! I had so much fun hanging out with you Amber and it was so great not having to give any direction. I could really relax and focus on the image coming out of the camera and she did all the modeling on her own. I played a little bit with my post processing and tried to do a little something differnt with my brushes in photoshop. This is sweet little Kynzli and her sisters. You might remember them fro a few monthes back when I photographed the whole family! Well this session was especially for Kynzli. I had so much fun playing and running around the park with these girls. We took some bread to the park for the ducks, apparently they had not seen much bread lately because they started to attack and the girls did not think that was very cool!! haha!

Okay so this is a HUGE post, but these two were amazing models!! I had soo much fun and definitely could have gone all night shooting away. Kolbe and Jake go to Tech and as soon as they graduate they plan on going into the Peace Corp, isn't that awesome!?!? I experimented a little with my flash towards the end of the session, tell me what you think. I also used some new textures. I was trying to go for a real high fashion photo...so fun!

Hey guys! So I know it’s been a loooong time since I have been on here and I say it all the time but I am really going to start being a better blogger! It has been a little crazy around here lately:

-Started the P90X workout program last Sunday and I have already lost 3 pounds!!!
-Got my bathroom redone…..I will show pics soon…it looks awesome!!
-Got a new kitchen faucet because the old one started leaking!
-Started back to school…YUCK!
-Working on the new website that I will hopefully have up in a week or two!!
-Working on my new blog!! Your gonna LOVE it!

The other night I went to town to get some supper for John and I. I had my camera in the pickup with me so I decided to give myself a little challenge. I decided to take as many pics I could everytime I stopped! I had so much fun! I would suggest all you other photog's try this little game. So this is my best friend and sis, Kim, and her adorable family!! My sister informed me that they did not make the end of year slideshow and she was bummed!!! haha! It totally slipped mine to put them in which kind of bums me out as well...soooo...I have decided to dedicated an entire post just to them! I took these photos back in Sept. when Colt was only about 2 weeks old! Awwww! I hope to get some more pics of these guys soon!! Caleb's birthday is coming up and there might be some party pics!!! Hint, Hint...Kim...we need to figure out when the party is going to be so I can plan to be there! =) Wow, I can't believe he is going to be 3!! Here is....drum roll please....Bud, Delight, Kim, Buzz, Darrel, Kitty, Zane, Kate, Leeza, Carson, Bonner & Ross!! Wooo! I hope I got all those right! I went to Quanah, Tx the other day to photograph this, if I might say, good lookin' family! It was quite cold and a bit windy but we made it through and got some amazing pictures. It is so fun to go to a new place to photograph people. I get to find so many awesome new spots. I wish Quanah was closer because it was perfect. So many old beautiful buildings! On the drive home I got some awesome sunset and horse pictures that I will show you all soon! I am about to head out for a Christmas supper but check back after while for more!

Jared is graduating from Texas Tech...well...today...since it is saturday already! He is actually a classmate of mine. We went out this past monday; the day the sky decided to open and bless us with 40 mph winds and blowing sand! Yes we were troopers and we toughed it out! We found corners and doorways to get it and walls to hide behind. I was so scared to look at these because I thought there would be a ton of shots with squinty eyes and hair standing on end, but something must have happen to my camera on the car ride home because as soon as I loaded these babies into my computer I was amazed. There are so many great shots! Yes...needless to say...there are several "windy" shots, but so many great ones! Congrats Jared...you got the bachelors...now off to get your masters!

Do you ever have those days were you lose track of time and start to think you have nothing else in the world to do? Do you, for one second, believe that this thing, this task that happens to be consuming you is the only thing that exsist? For the past few days, between the hours of 4 & 6p.m., that is how I felt. I think that if your job allows you to forget all the chores and to-do's on your, never-ending, list of things to do, than that is an incredible blessing. I can't even begin to explain how much I love photography, and how much I need it! I have so many great sessions to post so don't touch that dial....more to come!

This is Pete, Heather, Griffin, Jillian & Addy! Oh man, I hope I spelled everything right. How beautiful are all of these girls. You can definitely tell where little 8 1/2 month old Addy got her bright blue eyes. It is getting cold out there and sessions are becoming more about ways to stay warm then about the perfect pose! But, we must remember, just don't think about and pose through the pain!! haha!! Yeah right! Give me some hot coco!! Mmmmmm!

Well, I went back to Trinity Ranch this past week to hang out and take some more beautiful pictures! I think I just totally lucked out to get a beautiful blue sky both sessions! I love it!

This is the Manning family! I spent an eventful afternoon with these Ladies. We actually had a women come up to us and warn us about getting Hemorrhoids!! There are some crazy people walkin' around downtown Lubbock!! haha!! But, other than that, we have fun. I had no trouble getting them to laugh or give me an "America's Next Top Model" stare. Not to mention...the light was beautiful all evening.

Here is Debbie and Shad!! I had so much fun hanging out with these two Thursday night. I found all new locations, it was great! I am really trying to challenge myself to be new and fresh on every shoot. I absolutely love all of their images and it was so hard to pick just a few to post. I just found this pic as I was editing. I loved it and planned on blogging it the day I took it and, well, you know I am pretty bad at blogging! I have been doing a touch better and I plan to continue the improvement! Enjoy this image of the ferris wheel I couldn't ride because it broke while I was in line!! Yes....there were people on it and they had to manually pull it around to let them off. Yikes!!

This is Levi and Jamie. I loved hanging out with these two this past Sunday! They drove all the way from Hobbs, New Mexico for me to photograph them. That is so flattering, thanks guys! Wow, these past few weeks have been pretty busy around here with school and work. I am slowly getting caught up and working away on 3 wedding albums right now. I want to give a big thanks to my brides who are being so patient with me, Thanks Ladies!!

This is the Prichard family!! 1 Dad + 1 Mom + 3 adorable girls = amazing pictures!! I had so much fun with these guys on Tuesday. We went to a couple new spots and...of course...you gotta take those little girls to the park for some fun! We did a little duck chasin' and tree climbin'! Thanks for the fun evening guys!

Michelle {Senior}

Here is my first Senior of the year...Michelle! She is actually a senior at Texas Tech! You probally recognize her because I have take her picture about 3 or 4 times so far this year! I think she may be at the top of the frequent flyer list for SB Design & Photography!

Trinity Ranch

The other morning I went out to Trinity Ranch to photograph these wonderful women and the ranch horses. Margaret Couch, owner of Trinity Ranch, offers workshops called Soul Purpose. I am really not the best spokesperson for them because I am not quite sure of all the specifics, but it is, as stated by Ty Moudy, "Medicine for the mind, body and soul." Margaret wanted me to photograph the ladies with the horses they went through the class with. It was an absolutely beautiful moring, as you can tell by the golden sunlight. A little chilly at first but once we started moving around it was no problem.

Here is a taste of Chad & Chelsi's wedding! It is pretty late so I won't talk for long, but this wedding was beautiful! They got married at St. Elizabeth's Church on Broadway. It was so much fun hanging out with all these folks all day, and might I say,...their Margarita's were pretty tastey!!

Well, here lately I have been so stressed out over school that I haven't been keeping up with my "pic of the day" blogs. So when I'm stressed I tend to go through pictures that I took of my nieces and nephews; they make me smile! I found these from a trip I took with my Mom in August and realized I never posted them! My Mom and I flew to my grandparents house, picked them up, drove 3 hours to my sister's, hung out, drove 3 hours back to their house, then me and mom flew back here the next day! Wow! It was a whirlwind trip but so worth it! I just love seeing my nephew, Caleb, with my Papa! So cute! And of course...the good ole card game with the grandparents!! Enjoy!

This is Taber and Nathan! These two have actually been married for a year now but Taber called me up and said that because she cried so much on her wedding day (happy tears of course!) she want to do pics of her and her husband again without red and puffy eyes!! haha!! Of course I was thrilled to! It was the perfect evening and it was so great because we didn't have to worry about the dress at all. She is going to cut it up and make either a blanket or baby bassinet out of it. Oh cool is that!

Chelsi & Chad

This Chad & Chelsi....I got to shot them a few days ago and it was beautiful out! I love it when the light, wind and temp. are perfect! We went around downtown for a little bit and then headed out to the country to these cool oil tanks I found! As soon as we stepped out of the car mosquitoes surrounded us. It was worth it though, we got some awesome shots! I get to photograph these two again in a few weeks at their wedding...Yeah!! Can't wait guys!
